Last week I discovered a Late 1970's Hanna Tunnel in Tampa, Florida. Sadly, It was closed due to rain. This tunnel used to have filament, until it was replaced with NeoGlide™. It also has the Infamous Hanna Polish 'n Wax Component, Which As with many industries, the 1970's were difficult times for the car washing business. The U.S. recession had a devastating affect on the vehicle wash industry as the price of gasoline increased rapidly. Shrinking profits for car wash operators slowed production and development of the industry. Hanna Industries made an important inventions in 1975 — the Polish ‘N Wax component. This innovations made it possible for many car wash operations with Hanna equipment to stay in business because they had a “competitive edge” with services their competitors did not have.
This tunnel is an important part of car wash History, So when I Revisit and take a video of it soon, Please check out the video.
