In December 2013, I Had a brilliant idea. Let my old Volvo 960 Station Wagon sit for several months, especially through Oak Pollen season, and take it as-is through a touch free car wash. Touch free-or "Touchless" car washes clean by using 2-Step & Alkaline detergents/presoaks, which is formulated to dissolve and loosen road film and debris. After the presoak is applied, the loosened grime and film is then blasted off using High Pressure nozzles.
Some people don't believe that touch free is as effective as hand washing (Two-Bucket method) so, this is why I am doing this study.
April 12, 2014- The day has come. It is finally time to wash the car!

Conclusion- Although there are some little stains from pollen in the windshield wiper & window guard areas, I Can conclude that touch-free car washing is safe, easy, and effective. The finish was smooth and silky, and the window guards were completely clear of debris.
The Answer- Yes. Touch-Free Car Washes work effectively, and efficiently.
Note- The "Clear-Coat Failure" and Oxidation on the clear-coat is caused by having a car sit in full blasting florida sun for 20 years. You see it on many older cars in florida, and people that don't own garages. This car is in dire need of a detail as well.
Proof- Here is the video of the car wash, if you don't believe me.
